The Lady of the Dunes * Guest Feature
A quick recap, The Lady of the Dunes is a true crime case that revolves around a formerly unidentified murder victim, Ruth Marie Terry. This case was one of the most enduring and frustrating murder mysteries in Massachusetts and spanned almost half a century.

*This piece is extra special. It is my first guest piece! And the artist? My mother, Valeri. She was a busy, hustlin’ and bustlin’ nurse for damn near as long as this woman was unidentified. Since retiring she has discovered a passion for watercolor painting. Her little cottage is filled to bursting with scraps and bits of paintings. Every available surface has some new technique or new subject that she’s been experimenting with. It’s quite cute.
When she showed me this one I knew that The Lady of the Dunes story had to accompany it. They were meant to be a pair. I was already somewhat familiar with Ruth’s story. I’m glad we were able to bring them together for this.
This original is 9 3/16 x 6 1/2” on 100% cotton watercolor paper.
Available as a print in one size: 10 x 7”
A Giclee print with a matte finish + 1/2" border.
No frame included.
Each print is numbered, dated, and signed.
The artwork will be delivered in a USPS sturdy tube or Flat Rate Envelope.
